WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The quality of healthcare is highly dependent upon a skilled and caring clinical and administrative workforce.  In today’s healthcare environment, the demand for qualified, culturally diverse, competent health care professionals far exceeds the supply. Various social and economic forces, including inadequate infrastructure for training, drive this shortage.  Additionally, advances in the field make continuing education essential for all categories of healthcare providers.

Within the Workforce Development Priority Area, UniHealth Foundation will support programs to train and retain qualified clinical staff, foster ongoing professional development, including management and leadership skills, and promote allied health professions training.

OBJECTIVES
