| HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS ENHANCEMENTS
Despite dramatic advances in the medical sciences, our healthcare system remains complex, highly fragmented, difficult to navigate and often inaccessible. Structural barriers mitigate against individuals accessing a continuum of high quality care at the appropriate point of service.
Within the Health Systems Enhancement as a Hospital Fund Priority Area, we will consider supporting programs which address access to health care, quality of clinical services, patient satisfaction and organizational capacity building. Such programs might include hospital partnerships with other hospitals and/or community clinics and community based organizations to coordinate care. Projects that focus on administrative systems improvement, organizational development, change management and capital needs associated with program delivery will also be considered.
